Classification And Types Of Ship Outfitting Components

In the process of shipbuilding, ship outfitting is one of the important links. Ship outfitting mainly includes: 1. Anchors and winches; 2. Cable stakes, 3. Cable guide holes; 4. Doors and windows; 5. Small hatch cover, manhole cover; 6. Vertical ladder, inclined lift, boarding ladder. It refers to the installation of mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment after the main structure of the ship is completed and the ship is launched. The outfitting of a ship refers to all things on board, except for the hull and ship power units. Ship outfitting has a series of characteristics such as multiple types of work, multiple processes, multiple varieties, large and complex engineering, wide cooperation, strong technical comprehensiveness, relatively poor construction conditions, and long cycle span. According to the outfitting location, ship outfitting is divided into two parts: external outfitting and internal outfitting. External outfitting includes rudder equipment, anchor equipment, mooring equipment, life-saving equipment, closing equipment, towing and pushing equipment, as well as ladders, railings, masts, etc; Interior outfitting, also known as residential decoration, involves the separation of compartments and the installation of insulation materials, the manufacturing and installation of marine furniture and sanitation facilities, the composition and installation of kitchen, cold storage, and air conditioning systems, and the installation of marine doors and windows. The sun drying and installation of cruise ships (oil tankers) are more complex, and the decoration and installation of electrical and electronic equipment often overlap. According to the outfitting materials, ship outfitting can be divided into two parts: iron outfitting and wood outfitting. Iron outfitting refers to the outfitting of metal parts, while wood outfitting refers to the outfitting of non-metal parts. Ship outfitting is an important task in shipbuilding. After the main structure of the ship is completed, it is launched from the shipbuilding platform and the ship outfitting work begins, installing the mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment inside the ship. Ship outfitting accounts for a significant proportion in shipbuilding. In ship outfitting construction, on-site production management is an indispensable component for arranging and coordinating work plans, playing a crucial role in production organization. Its purpose is to quantify engineering projects, clarify ideas, effectively organize and schedule resources, achieve the effect of brainstorming, and better prepare for subsequent projects. The production management in ship outfitting construction is not only about conveying company requirements, integrating and mobilizing group forces, but also the key to ensuring the smooth completion of outfitting work and cost savings for ships.
