Efficient energy absorption
The closed-cell foam core absorbs a large amount of energy while generating a low reaction force. Depending on the user's needs, henger offers a wide range of foam core densities to meet the demands of different impact environments.
Low maintenance cost
Compared with conventional inflatable fenders, foam fenders don't need regular internal air pressure check and inflation, which reduces the maintenance cost of workers.
Easy installation
Foam fenders can be installed quickly, only need to make sure that the appearance is not damaged, and are suitable for a variety of docks and ship structures.
Strong reinforcement design
The foam fenders are coated with a polyurethane coating using a nylon mesh reinforcement layer. This design greatly enhances the fender's durability and tear resistance.
Superior abrasion resistance
The uniform polyurethane coating creates a high-strength skin. This gives the foam fender an extremely high resistance to abrasion for a variety of harsh marine environments.
Multiple grade options
We offer labeled grades as well as high capacity options. The fenders can be equipped with different performance according to different operational requirements.
Economical
The initial investment is reasonable and can be operated stably for a long time. In addition, it reduces maintenance and replacement coSTS, making it highly cost-effective.

Applications of Foam Filled Fender
Naval harbors
Naval vessels vary from small patrol boats to large aircraft carriers. All of them need fenders to protect them. Foam fenders can play a good role in protection. Foam fenders have good elasticity and can absorb reaction forces to minimize damage to naval vessels during mooring or docking.
Cargo ship ports
Cargo ports are mostly for large cargo ships. The impact of large cargo ships is very strong when docking in a harbor, which can easily damage the hull of the ship and harbor facilities. Therefore, for cargo ship ports, durable and low-maintenance foam-filled fenders can play a very good role. Because foam fenders are easy to install and easy to maintain, they can reduce downtime in ports. It is economical for ports that handle large volumes of cargo.
Cruise ship terminals
Cruise ships generally carry a lot of passengers, and in order to ensure the safety and comfort of the passengers, the smoothness of the cruise ship when docked at the port is very demanding. Foam fenders can play a good role in cushioning the cruise ship when it docks, avoiding sudden docking impacts that can lead to passenger injuries or panic, thus helping to improve the experience and satisfaction of cruise passengers.
Offshore platforms
Offshore platforms in the oil and gas industry also require fenders to protect them from the approach of supply vessels. These platforms are often in harsh environments, and foam fenders are more durable than other fenders to protect offshore platforms.
Ship-to-ship (STS) operations
In STS operation, two ships need to berth side by side for cargo transfer. So in order to protect the safety of both vessels and cargo, foam fenders are used during the operation.
Construction Parts Of Foam Filled Fenders
Foam core
The energy-absorbing foam core of our foam-filled fender shall be heat-laminated. Chipped or granulated particulate foam, as well as adhesives to bond the foam together, are not acceptable. Also, our foam core is 100% closed-cell foam. Each closed cell is completely enclosed, which prevents it from compressing or settling over time.
Nylon 6 filament reinforced and polyurethane elastomer skin.
The outer skin of our foam-filled fender is constructed of elastomer with filament reinforcing as specified. The polyurethane skin is reinforced with nylon 6 for extra strength. The reinforced skin’s tensile strength can reach 31Mpa, with tear strength around 78.8kN/m. The skin is thick enough to provide enough nylon wraps. They transfer shear forces from berthing and the rated reaction force.
Polyurea spraying coating
The surface of our foam-filled fenders will be sprayed with polyurea. Spraying polyurea can make them tough. It makes them resist chemicals, weather, and damage. It also keeps them flexible in extreme temperatures.
