A Spek Type Anchor is a traditional stockless anchor, the anchor does not have a horizontal stock, allowing easy housing into the anchor pocket on the ships. It is widely used on commercial ships, cargo vessels, oil tankers, container ships and offshore platforms.

Product Introduction

There are three common types of Spek Type Anchor:

(1) Type 95 Spek Anchor
It is widely used in engineering ships. Weight range from 100 kg (220.5 lb) to 26000 kg (57320.2 lb).
(2) Type M Spek Anchor
It is fully balanced. Weight range from 80 kg (176.4 lb) to 20 000 kg (44092.5 lb).
(3) Type SR Spek Anchor
It has a low center of gravity. Weight range from 210 kg (463.0 lb) to 20000 kg (44092.5 lb).

Advantage:

The stockless design is ideal for automatic release and retrieval with windlass systems, it is easy to stow in hawse pipes.

The geometry design of flukes, which is two symmetrical flukes and one large shank, can improve holding in various seabeds like clay, mud or sand. It is suitable for large vessels since it has high holding power.

It is made from cast steel or forged steel, often paint coated or hot dip galvanized for corrosion resistance. It can withstand harsh marine conditions.
