A plastic anti wave barrier, also known as a floating breakwater or wave attenuator, is a modular system designed to reduce wave energy and protect coastal and marine structures. The plastic anti wave barrier shall be properly designed or in appropriate layout and configuration: in single-row or multi-row for higher wave attenuation, in straight line, L-shape or arc depending on the area protected, including openings or access channels for vessel entry if needed. This modular system can be easily disassembled to off-season storage, relocation to another site, or upgrading or resizing to other shape or use.

These barriers are commonly utilized in marines, harbors, offshore platforms, and recreational water areas. For marinas and harbors, it can protect the dock and moored vessels from wave-induced damage. For offshore platforms, it is to enhance the operational safety against the waves. For recreational areas, it can ensure the calm water for activities like swimming and jet skiing.

As this is plastic barrier, it should be monthly or seasonal inspected, especially after storms. If any plastic cracking or fatigue found, or any biofouling buildup, it should be cleaned and repaired or replaced parts as needed.
